About Christian Coaching

Coaching vs Therapy

Understanding the Difference

What Is Christian Coaching?

Simply stated, "Coaching is the art and practice of enabling individuals and groups to move from where they are to where they want to be." — Dr. Gary Collins, PhD

Christian coaching does this, but is more centered around empowering individuals to align their vision and purpose with God's vision and purpose for their lives.

What Coaching Is Not

Coaching is not therapy. Therapy focuses on problems and what needs to be "fixed." This may involve delving into the past and/or present for causes to these problems.

Coaching focuses on the present and future possibilities — helping people to get "unstuck" so they can grow, change, and move toward their purpose.
